In a wildlife-related incident in Beed district, a 36-year-old farmer was mailed to death by a leopard while he had taken his cattle out for grazing early in the morning in the Bavi-Darewadi area of Ashti tehsil. Local villagers noticed that the farmer had not returned home and alerted both forest and police authorities. After a search, his body was found in the field with clear signs of a big cat attack. Forest officials retrieved the remains and initiated additional cautionary patrols around nearby villages.
